As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it considered or reviewed by another journal. An explanation must be provided in Comments to the Editor in any case of doubt.
The paper undergoes double-blind peer review. Double-blind peer review means that the reviewers of the paper won't get to know the identity of the author(s), and the author(s) won't get to know the identity of the reviewer.
Submit the paper in Microsoft Word file format without author names and affiliations and without acknowledgements. Upload a separate title page with full author names and affiliations.
Author Guidelines
Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they comprise original, unpublished material and are not being submitted for publication elsewhere. Furthermore, manuscripts submitted to JISSS are received under the condition that all co-authors are aware of, and agree with, the submission. All manuscripts are subject to anonymous peer review.
The manuscript should be submitted as a Microsoft Word file. The manuscript should be written in English: UK and US spelling are allowed, but no mixture thereof. Quality of the English language use by non-native speakers is the full responsibility of the authors.
We expect that authors, before submitting their work to JISSS, have read in detail our ‘Focus and Scope' information, which can be found on our About the Journal page.
There are no strict requirements on reference formatting at submission. References can be in any style or format as long as the style is consistent. Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of publication, volume number/book chapter and the article number or pagination must be present. Use of DOI is highly encouraged.
Publishing fees
There is no publishing fees for the Journal of Integrated Security and Safety Science (JISSS) forneither the authors nor the readers.
