Article-processing charges (APC)

We do charge you the costs of processing the thesis. The costs depend on the number of pages and the chosen format. The graphic design and online publication of a standard thesis with 300 pages will cost approximately €2000 ex VAT. This includes the production of the ABSTRACT, PDF, and PAPERBACK, the ISBN and DOI. Sirene-Ontwerpers will provide you with a cost estimate based on the standard €2000 ex VAT, the costs for additional pages and graphic design work.

In the case that your thesis consists of chapters with multiple authors and seperate reference lists, then these chapters will be presented separately, next to the full thesis. In the case of a monograph, we will publish the thesis as one complete volume.

Ph.D. candidates from the TU Delft Graduate School of Architecture and the Built Environment receive this service for free. TU Delft candidates will also receive a few paperbacks in accordance with the requirements of the TU Delft Ph.D. defense procedure.
